Idris Elba hits the big screen as Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. 

This riveting film is based on President Nelson Mandela's autobiography that bears the same title. It chronicles his childhood, education, early adulthood, and the twenty-seven years he was in prison. The tale goes all the way through his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa. 

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is being released on November 29, 2013, but to a limited amount of theaters.
